1.
Able Archer 05:34
Lyrics: Now that we’re going to blow ourselves up to pieces All that we love will die in vain and disappear in a grand show Nothing will ever feel the same, but the speeches Nothing will breathe or grow again when we get buried in the snow And you’ll see the sky painted red, tainted by all the blood shed And you’ll hear the wailing sirens, thinking this is how the world ends When them cynical madmen, turn it into a nightmare We’re historical dead ends Now that we’re going to blow ourselves up to pieces And all that we love will die in vain and disappear in a grand show
2.
Genetic Bomb 06:04
Lyrics: This is a music box it’s a gift from the old to the young It’ll put you to sleep little one no matter how tough you are It’s a genetic bomb, always with you from the womb to the tomb And it gets to you the way it got to me Somebody knows why you feel like a dog in a tree, eating your leash It was designed to succeed where all the others have failed: keeping you busy It’s a demonic laugh eating at you from the depths of this song And it teases you like it did to me It isn’t music boy that I’ll pass on to you someday It is a glimpse of a world that is dead to you, just like somebody passing through A toxic mortgage too, weighing on you from the depths of this song And you’ll figure it out ‘cause it’s what you do An empty soul and a blank heart in a brand new envelope A notion coming from ancient times which is out and about, and about: A picture of you picturing yourself in another person If there’s an awkward feeling about this you gotta grow and let it go The wall is barely standing just so you know, now you know There’s no rule in this place full of rulers and I’m next in line Is this room ever so dark?
3.
Lyrics: I’m feeling under the weather I never meant to get older What is it, hanging from the ceiling? That’s not a way to treat a feeling A little bit of yearning, a little bit of living It’s not about to be over soon I wanna ride with you to the moon I feel a bit like a runner Want a great, great butt before the next summer I’ve seen it all on television It’s all about your dedication A little bit of yellow, a little bit of mellow It’s not about to get older soon I wanna ride with you to the moon Goodbye Sunday aerobics
4.
The Acrobats 03:49
Lyrics: When the circus settles in town it brings a lot of joy They pay for ads in the local paper, which they don’t need at all Oh! the daring acrobats risking their lives for me They’ve got something that we all wish we had They’re not afraid to fall or hurt, or even die I wanna follow them around and see the world and feel it all That sea is bottomless to me A city awakes, a city dies I think of it all the time And then at times when I feel alone I lie awake and feel the night Wait until the mood is right That sea is bottomless to me A city awakes, a city dies
5.
The Pack 06:34
Lyrics: I spiral down in the shallows Waiting on the rising tide To swim or be swallowed I despise being always light With my empty heart   I came to hide in the shadows Waiting for a storm to pass I didn’t learn how to follow I’ve been spying on you, world With an angry heart   What if I ever wish to go back Will you let me be with you? Find my place in the pack I’d be fighting for your world With my very heart   I walk among you now, no more alone Tell before my brain burns down Before my heart lies fallow The mind‘s bent on feeling love Can't mend it now
6.
Lyrics: When my time has come I’ll be rusting in the sun Of this floating junkyard When the wind is gone I will rest in the sand Of this floating junkyard With all of the empty vessels of those who never made it This is your captain speaking: mates, abandon ship And clearly you were not the best At survival of the filthiest You’ve been playing it by ear And you’ve come pretty freaking near And surely there’s another game Than just trying over and over again You keep playing it by ear And you find you’re already here
7.
Lyrics: I'm losing my wits The heart keeps calling but I do not want it to know What I'm all about That’s a lot of dead weight that we carry inside Goin’ on about what's wrong and who's right You’re missing the point, Love, licking the wrong wound It’s really obvious I'm out of my brain I’ve been chewing on that gun and my jaw went numb for a while At peace with my mind I think I saw that there was no real reason To cry over not being too strong or too bright Who’s calling the shots now? I’ve started to lose count Am oblivious? Connie and Blyde were up shit creek without a paddle Colliding and exploding into a thousand pieces That bloody ride is going nowhere To lovers wondering where to sit and die: Lost in the sea of eyes nobody sees you trying And since overthinking leads to another restless, sleepless night You’re lying awake D’you think it’s ever gonna work out for you and I? And now you watch out for the suits that hit the ground You never believed you were so very into watching them falling apart
8.
Lyrics: I breathe but only out of habit Don’t fool yourself it’s only just a trick A gleam that’s calling out to you See if I can wake you with a kiss A loving hand caresses your forehead gently It’s nothing so eerie believe it, it’s only me A caring mouth speaks through you in tongues Sounding like a final word of advice Gather every bit of courage you have left ‘Cause now would be a good time to play dead

about

About:

Born in Lyon in 2014, Animali is the stage name given to the duo formed by Julien Jussey and Benjamin Richardier. Originally Influenced by low-fi, neo-punk productions while dreaming itself as a Pop act, Animali published a first EP named ‘’The spark and three other poorly-produced pieces of music’’ (2014), followed by a sophomore EP titled ‘’This Plane's Going Down, Are We All Gonna Die?’’ (2015).
After three years of absence, Animali are now moving away from their early influences, embracing a more intimate musical style.
‘’Mary D. Kay’’, Animali's first studio album, produced by Mikrokosm, will be released on the 12th of June 2020 by Archipel.
